Brisbane/Travel Day

We had a quick 24hrs in Brisbane. After getting to our hotel and charging up, we headed out to a nice dinner on the town. It was a Friday night so we got to see some nightlife in one of the neighborhoods. Woke up the next morning, checked out of our hotel, and went to the Museum of Brisbane. Outside of the museum/town hall, there was a DJ and a makeshift basketball court where they were promoting the Brisbane 2032 Summer Olympics. All of the signs said "9 years to go" which we found interesting but enjoyed the music and festivities anyway.

Walked through an open air mall filled with people watching world cup matches and footy, then made it to their Riverwalk. As we were walking, we passed the Haitian Women's World Cup Team. They were playing England (and unfortunately lost) later that night. For those who don't know, the Women's World Cup is taking place across Australia and New Zealand over the next month. We kept walking down to the Story Bridge and the Brewery under it. We decided to sit, enjoy the weather, and try some new beers.

Realized it was about time to head to the airport and catch our flight to our last Australian City- Melbourne!

The flight was easy. We landed and were greeted with some colder temps. Melbourne's pretty far south so they are experiencing more of a winter than any other city we have visited. Got settled in and again was able to see the nightlife of Melbourne since it was a Saturday night. The city is known to have an amazing food scene and any type of cuisine you could want. We checked out China Town. Looking forward to seeing all that it has to offer over the next couple of days.
